My Top 10 Favorite Du’a from the Quran
The most powerful weapon a believer has is Du’a. If you had a choice to get a powerful weapon or a weak weapon, which would you want? It is said that the Du’a is like an arrow. The stronger the arrow and the strength, the farther it will go. Here a list of some of my favorite Du’a.
“Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Al- Baqarah 2:286)
“Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Al- Baqarah 2:250). The people made this du’a when they saw Jalut (Goliath) and his soldiers in front of them on the battlefield.
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.” (Al-Baqarah 2:201)
Our Lord, forgive us our sins, and wipe out our evil deeds and make us die with the truly pious.’ (Al- Imran 3:193)
Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. (Al-Imran 3:8)
My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction.” (71:28) This Du’a was said by Nuh (as).
“Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.” (Al-Araf 7:47)
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.” (Al-Araf 7:23)
My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication. (Ibrahim 14:40)
“Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” (Al-Anbya 21:83) Ayyub (as) made this Du’a when he was afflicted with the disease.
